This role plays a vital part in ensuring the quality and continuity of patient care by performing MRI examinations, contributing to efficient center operations, and promoting a culture of excellence.
Job SummaryThis position involves conducting MRI examinations, assessing patient conditions, reviewing exam requisitions for consistency, and explaining procedures to patients. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of anatomy, positioning techniques, and magnetic safety protocols.
We offer a competitive salary of $73,500 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits that include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
Essential Responsibilities- Conduct MRI examinations safely and effectively, adhering to ALARA standards
- Assess patient conditions before, during, and after examinations
- Review exam requisitions for consistency with clinical diagnoses
- Explain procedures to patients, providing clear instructions and answers to questions
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology or related field
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and licensure by the New York State Department of Health
- Within 2 years of hire, obtain certification in MRI discipline
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
This role requires the ability to work independently, manage physically aggressive patients, and maintain a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance, reach, stoop, and bend while maintaining good mechanical posture.
