Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Commercial Truck Sales Manager who can sell new and used medium- and heavy-duty trucks in accordance with established profit and unit count objectives. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting the sale of new and used medium- and heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell medium- and heavy-duty trucks to customers, meeting or exceeding established sales objectives;
  • Assist customers in selecting and ordering trucks by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses;
  • Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting the sale of new and used medium- and heavy-duty vehicles;
  • Meet or exceed objectives for new- and/or used-truck deliveries established by the dealership;
  • Prepare and turn in outside sales call reports, listing who was called, what units were quoted, and units available for sale;
  • Provide follow-up and ongoing service to existing customers;
  • Closing new- and used-truck deals;
  • Write complete and accurate sales orders, secure deposits, and process paperwork in accordance with established dealership policies;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent;
  • One to three months of related experience and/or training;
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
  • The ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules and operating instructions;
  • Valid state driver's license;
  • State Sales License.
Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $86,049 - $102,013 per year, based on industry standards and location.
