About the Role
">At VetJobs, we're committed to providing opportunities for skilled professionals like you. As a Boilermaker Journeyman, you'll be responsible for assembling and repairing boilers and other vessels.
Key Responsibilities
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions and confined spaces
- Assemble pressure vessels, ductwork, and tanks
- Locate and mark reference points for columns or plates on foundation
- Load and attach rigging, signal crane operator to lift part to specified position
- Assemble boiler frame, tanks, wall, roof, floor, plate, and beams
- Grind welds or seams to fit
- Install boiler casings, grades, handrails, manhole, and hand-hole covers
- Align water tubes and connectors and expand ends to drums and headers
- Bolt casing sections, uptakes, stacks, baffles, and fabricated parts
- Test assembled vessel
- Install manholes, hand-holes, valves, gauges, and feed-water connection
- Clean scale from boiler tubes
- Replace and reassemble gratings, ladders, handrails, and other disassembled structures
- Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment, and supplies
- Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing materials and work pieces during installation
- Perform minor cleaning activities of tools and equipment
Requirements
We're looking for candidates with a minimum of 48 months industrial construction experience. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Compensation
The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
