About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Project Coordinator to support our Construction Operations team at The University of Miami. This is a full-time staff position with a salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 annually.

Job Description

The Project Coordinator will play a key role in assisting full-time Construction Project Managers with the day-to-day tasks of managing construction projects. This includes coordinating meetings, managing project documentation, communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring smooth project execution. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Managers in coordinating and managing day-to-day project activities and tasks
  • Facilitate internal and external communication between team members, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and project success
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and meeting materials, and manage and organize project documentation in project management software and shared drives
  • Help organize project meetings, take meeting minutes, and follow up on action items, and coordinate efforts within the team and with outside consultants and vendors
  • Input and update project information in project management software tools such as Procore, Workday, Smartsheet, Excel, and shared drives, and maintain accurate records of project details
  • Ocasionally visit construction sites to assist with on-site project tasks, including tracking progress, supporting inspections, and ensuring that safety standards and quality requirements are met
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in construction operations or a related field
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate effective communication between team members, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders
  • Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office, project management software, and shared drives
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion
