About the Role

PacifiCorp is seeking a Data Scientist to join our team in Portland, OR or Salt Lake City, UT.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Data Scientist to provide technical support on projects related to wildfire mitigation, asset performance, and T&D Operations across six states. The ideal candidate will have experience in Python (or related language) and knowledge of SQL query construction and optimization.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct research studies and technical analyses in areas of specialized data science to support company objectives.
  • Support data science projects, processes, or systems over the life cycle of the project.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and regulatory teams to analyze complex problems and deliver solutions consistent with schedules established.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Math, or Engineering from an accredited college/university.
  • Demonstrated experience in Python (or related language).
  • Knowledge of SQL query construction and optimization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with time series modeling and forecasting.
  • Experience working with public utility commissions (PUCs) and their requirements/regulations.
Additional Information

The estimated salary for this position is between $76,200-$89,600 per year.

This position includes health care, retirement, paid time off, tuition assistance, paid short-term and long-term disability, and paid bereavement leave.
