Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at the U.S. Department of the Interior. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing civil engineering projects, including water storage and conveyance structures, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare preliminary and final designs and specifications for civil engineering projects
  • Conduct cost estimates for construction, repair, and rehabilitation projects
  • Develop and implement project plans and schedules
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers
  • Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure project success
Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you must have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field, and at least one year of experience in civil engineering design and cost estimation. You must also have a current, valid Professional Engineering License.

Education

You must submit a copy of your college transcript(s) to support claimed education. Transcripts must include the name of the college or university and date the degree was conferred.

Accreditation

Only education from an accredited college or university recognized by the Department of Education is acceptable to meet education requirements or to substitute for experience.
