Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As an essential member of our mobile imaging company, you will provide high-quality diagnostic echocardiographic scans for physician diagnosis using portable echocardiography equipment. This role involves traveling to various settings to perform echocardiograms, ensuring adherence to safety protocols while accommodating patient needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mobile, diagnostic echocardiographic scans for physician diagnosis utilizing portable echocardiography equipment and appropriate technical knowledge and skills.
  • Echo exams may be performed in a variety of settings, including private residences, senior care facilities, short-term rehabilitation facilities, specialty clinics, and correctional facilities.
  • Travel in a company-supplied vehicle to perform echocardiography studies for patients in various service locations in the local community.
  • FOLLOW ALL COMPANY POLICIES, PROCEDURES AND PROTOCOLS WHILE PERFORMING ECHO EXAMS.
  • Demonstrate competence in performance of echocardiographic studies based on established protocols and procedures.
  • Demonstrate understanding of cardiac disease processes to obtain complete acquisition of images for clinical diagnosis by the interpreting cardiologist.
  • Operate portable ultrasonic equipment with cardiac capabilities at patient's bedside or other designated exam settings.
Requirements and Qualifications

To qualify as a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you must meet all state-specific and federal requirements for training, education, competency, certification, and state license to perform, including one or more of the following:

  • Adult Cardiac Sonographer with a satisfactory completion of an accredited non-invasive cardiovascular training program, with a focus in adult echocardiography and/or vascular ultrasound studies.
  • ARDMS registered in adult echocardiography with RDCS (AE) designation OR CCI registered with Cardiac Sonographer designation.

This role requires ability to perform quality and compete echocardiogram studies and possess excellent organizational skills to perform in a fast-paced environment. Must have a working knowledge of other departmental procedures and equipment. Must have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Must demonstrate basic computer skills to perform date entry. Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds. Ability to work a varied schedule that may require evenings, holidays, and weekends.
