Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is around $80,000 per year, based on industry standards and the location of the company.

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled accountant to lead our financial reporting efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting within the banking industry and a strong background in finance or economics.

  • Lead daily and monthly entries to the general ledger
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies
  • Assist with the month-end and year-end close
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
  • Research and assist with inquiries and requested information in a timely manner
  • Apply knowledge of Excel to analyze financial data, create models
  • Continuously seek ways to streamline accounting processes, workflows
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with a major in accounting, finance, or economics
  • Strong background and experience in accounting, with public accounting experience preferred but not required
  • CPA certification preferred but not required
  • Self-starter with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively
