Diesel Mechanic

Weinberger Waste Disposal, a Waste Connections Company, is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic - Heavy Equipment Repair Specialist to maintain and repair diesel-powered equipment in our Phoenix, AZ facility.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing repairs and assigned preventative maintenance services on diesel-powered equipment.
- Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
- Utilizing vehicle computer electrical systems to interpret failure modes and initiate or assign repairs.
- Completing required paperwork using fleet maintenance software to document parts usage and repair times.
- Conducting safety checks on vehicles and equipment to ensure compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
- Performing service calls for emergency breakdowns and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
Requirements include:
- A valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required).
- The ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English and Spanish.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in diesel equipment repair and maintenance.
- A willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
