**Job Description**

At ErgoScience, we're seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in the role of Industrial PT/PTA Physical Therapist. This position focuses on providing injury prevention, assessment, and employer and rehabilitation services to employees and patients in both industrial and clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre-employment physical assessments to evaluate the physical capabilities of potential employees.
  • Administer OSHA-approved first aid, including initial assessments, interventions, and referral to medical professionals when appropriate.
  • Provide on-site ergonomic assessments and collaborate with clients to recommend modifications to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injuries.
  • Oversee exercise programs for injured employees to facilitate safe and timely return to work.
  • Educate employees on proper lifting techniques, ergonomics, and other injury prevention strategies through individual or group training sessions.
  • Perform Job Demands Analysis to quantify the physical demands of a job.
  • Maintain accurate records of treatments, EIP sessions, ergonomic assessments, Physical Abilities Test results, job analysis reports, and rehabilitation progress according to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Valid license to practice physical therapy in the state of Alabama.
  • Proven work experience as a physical therapist.
  • Manual therapy skills.
  • Current knowledge of treatment practices.
