About the Job

QuidelOrtho is seeking a highly skilled Field Application Associate to join our team in the Gulf Technical Region. As a Field Application Associate, you will partner with our Sales Organization to provide customer service excellence and technical support to our customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in life sciences, medical technology, or a related field, with a minimum of two years of experience in a clinical laboratory role. You will be responsible for providing focused training to customers and others at all levels of use on QuidelOrtho products, including new assays and instruments being developed by the company.

You will also be responsible for implementing and validating QuidelOrtho products in targeted accounts, defining testing requirements within the laboratory, and performing assays accurately in laboratory settings. Additionally, you will analyze qualification data and technical site visits, and information from customer user groups within an account and report as required.

The Field Application Associate will work closely with the Sales Organization, Field Application Specialist Dispatch, and Project Manager team to schedule training time and ensure laboratories have appropriate and necessary equipment and materials. You will also be responsible for organizing test materials, training materials, and personnel requirements at Company and/or client sites prior to training.

Responsibilities
  • Meet or exceed Company goals, including revenue, test of record, or other metrics
  • Coordinate with Field Application Specialist Dispatch and Project Manager team to schedule training time and ensure laboratories have appropriate and necessary equipment and materials
  • Organize test materials, training materials, and personnel requirements at Company and/or client sites prior to training
  • Provide implementation and validation for targeted accounts to meet customer timeline
  • Define testing requirements within the laboratory per Package Insert (PI)
  • Perform assays accurately in laboratory settings
  • Analyze qualification data and technical site visits, and information from customer user groups within an account and report as required
  • Gain and maintain customer commitment by providing critical technical information and consultation
  • Ensure high levels of satisfaction through the customer experience
  • Communicate product complaints to Technical Support for documentation
  • Collaborate with team members in discovering and managing troubleshooting opportunities, including retraining
  • Engage to learn new product and relevant technical and clinical information
  • Assist with technical training materials (documents, protocols, evaluation tools, job aids, etc.) for use at customer sites or with distributors
  • Express ideas effectively in individual and group settings, including nonverbal communication
  • Adjust language to fit the needs of the audience
  • Operate as an effective and contributing member of the regional team, leveraging strategic selling framework
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of automation as applicable
  • Update activities in CRM system in a timely manner
  • Carry out duties in compliance with established business policies and any additional duties and projects as assigned
Requirements
  • BS/BA or equivalent in life sciences, medical technology, related field, or a combination of education and equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience (or related experience) in a clinical laboratory role, preferably in the medical device/diagnostic market
  • Must be mobile and able to relocate to any location in the Gulf Technical region upon graduation from training program
  • Computer proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Attention to detail, with sustained accuracy in contact records
  • Ability to work autonomously, using critical thinking and at the same time promote and facilitate a team effort and collaboration
  • Ability to think strategically and bring a high level of creativity to the organization
  • Strong communications, interpersonal, selling, and negotiation skills, along with strong adaptability and prioritization skills
