Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Apple. As a key member of our production engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and developing precision assembly and measurement processes for our products.

About the Role:

  • Design and implement automated and semi-automated solutions based on sound engineering principles and technology.
  • Develop new and/or improved processes through the application of theoretical and practical engineering.
  • Maintain awareness of technical trends and developments, incorporating them into assignments as necessary.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review machine requirements, design, qualification, and capability.
  • Create Request for Quotation/Proposal documents detailing design requirements, delivery schedules, and documentation needs.

Requirements:

  • BSME or equivalent degree (MSME preferred), with 5+ years of experience in an engineering role.
  • Proficiency in automation equipment used for alignment, assembly, and/or measurement of components.
  • Ability to travel internationally (up to 25%).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in precision assembly, inspection, and automation equipment.
  • Knowledge of crafting machine qualification requirements, design of experiments, and failure analysis.
  • Familiarity with optics principles and their application in CCD cameras, 2D and 1D lasers, and positioning machines.
  • Understanding of liquid adhesives, PSA's, and VHB's.
  • Solid understanding of robotics, pneumatics, servo motors, motion controllers, PLCs, and PC-based control systems.
  • MP, Minitab, and Six Sigma experience.
