Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Maine's Public Universities. As a key member of our facilities department, you will be responsible for performing routine and complex maintenance tasks on electrical/HVAC systems, ensuring the optimal operation and safety of our campus facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on electrical/HVAC systems, including inspecting, installing, and troubleshooting equipment.
  • Maintain and repair assigned equipment as needed, ensuring compliance with operational policies and procedures.
  • Operate various measuring, diagnostic, and testing instruments to perform work efficiently.
  • Requisition materials and supplies from stockrooms and recommend purchases and suppliers.
  • Maintain electronic/pneumatic testing equipment and perform brazing, soldering, pipefitting, welding, and fabrication tasks.
Requirements:
  • Applicable HVAC licenses.
  • Ability to lift and exert forces up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
