Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Shipboard Electrician to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems on board ships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and replace electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances
  • Install and test electrical systems, including lighting, signal, and power circuits
  • Inspect and test electrical equipment to identify defects and malfunctions
  • Use hand tools and testing equipment to diagnose and repair electrical issues
  • Work from drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to complete electrical installations and repairs
Requirements
  • High school diploma and/or technical vocational high school diploma
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical systems maintenance and repair, including 1+ years of shipboard experience
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme temperatures
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and transport heavy equipment and boxes up to 75 lbs
  • US Citizenship required
