Job Summary:

The J.M. Smucker Co. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials and products throughout our distribution center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all company safety protocols and procedures.
  • Load and unload trucks, receiving materials and products, and moving them to designated areas.
  • Receive and inspect incoming materials and products, ensuring they meet company standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of receiving and shipping activities, including logs and inventory reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including assisting with inventory management and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least six months of previous forklift experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Basic math skills and ability to read and write English.

Working Conditions:

This is a distribution environment, and the successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
