At CarMax, we're looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Specialist. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that every customer has a positive experience buying and selling cars.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by guiding customers through the car-buying process, from sale to financing and beyond.
  • Conduct vehicle condition assessments to ensure that all vehicles meet CarMax Quality Standards.
  • Check in and receive vehicles, complete daily scanning and reconciliation of vehicle inventory, and perform cosmetic inspections.
  • Perform various administrative duties, including printing daily reports, maintaining transaction paperwork, and contacting finance companies.
  • Create service appointments and review repair order invoices for retail service work performed.

  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Display confidence in self, the product, and CarMax.
  • Ability to balance the needs of the customer and the business when making decisions.
  • Seek to fully understand and meet customer needs.
  • Perform multiple duties in a high-energy, fast-paced working environment.
