Job Summary:
A high-level Operations position responsible for overseeing the delivery department. Key responsibilities include managing and directing delivery staff, ensuring compliance with government regulations, and maintaining the safety and security of the delivery department.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily work and safety of Delivery Associates, including adherence to standard operating procedures, planned routes, and customer service standards.
- Ensure Delivery Associate compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies (e.g., DOT, OSHA) and maintain accurate electronic logs.
- Manage labor hours and consumable supplies within budget constraints.
- Prepare work schedules, including extra work days and shifts as needed.
- Oversee the proper selection and utilization of company assets in support of the delivery department.
- Organize required repairs with other departments as necessary.
- Review delivery functions and productivity reporting.
- Suggest efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures, and assist with implementing delivery changes.
- Interpret, train, and consistently enforce Company policies, protocols, and procedures, including food safety, DOT, record-keeping, etc.
- Communicate with Sales Management and Marketing Associates to resolve customer or delivery issues.
- Visit customer locations and meet with customers to address issues and assess delivery difficulty.

Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and related experience. 2 or 4-year college degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or similar major preferred.
Experience: 1-3 years related experience and/or training. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Complete a Sysco-approved defensive driving program. HazMat certification preferred. Valid Class A Commercial Driver License meeting Company standards preferred.

Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, push/pull up to 350 pounds.
