Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their shopping needs.
  • Operate the cash register efficiently, utilizing UPC scanners, quick keys, and product keywords to ensure accurate transactions.
  • Process various payment methods, including cash, checks, credit/debit cards, and assist with returns and exchanges according to store policy.
  • Provide expert knowledge about our products and services, helping customers locate items and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to company standards for housekeeping and visual merchandising.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals and foster a positive, team-oriented atmosphere.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Show proficiency in operating relevant equipment, such as cash registers, calculators, or scanners.
  • Achieve basic math skills, necessary for handling change and processing refunds.
  • Show familiarity with company policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successfully complete on-the-job training and demonstrate competence in position-specific tasks.
Work Environment:

This is a full-time opportunity requiring prolonged periods of standing, working with cash registers and related equipment. Occasional lifting up to 30 pounds and ability to perform repetitive movements over extended periods are also essential aspects of this role.
