A Steward is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas. This includes ensuring the availability of clean dishes, preparing dining areas and kitchen for next shift, and supporting other restaurant staff members as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen and dining areas
  • Prepare dining areas and kitchen for next shift by cleaning and restocking
  • Support other restaurant staff members as needed
  • Report kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work well in stressful high-pressure situations
