Rheumatologist Position Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a board-certified/board-eligible rheumatologist to join our dynamic team at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the chance to work with a diverse group of healthcare professionals, providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of delivering high-quality, compassionate care to our community.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent patient care, using evidence-based medicine and staying up-to-date on the latest advances in rheumatology.
- Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans, focusing on improving patient outcomes and enhancing quality of life.
- Participate in teaching and mentoring activities, including supervising residents and medical students, and contributing to educational programs.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives, helping to drive positive change and improve patient care.
Requirements
- Board certification or eligibility in rheumatology from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited rheumatology fellowship program or relevant experience in a similar setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- A strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, with a focus on empathy, compassion, and respect for individual differences.
Salary Information
The estimated salary for this position is $113,000 - $129,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
