Job OverviewWe seek a skilled teacher-scholar with a strong commitment to excellent undergraduate teaching and inclusive learning environments. The successful candidate will teach courses in biomechanics and related areas, advise students, and establish a research agenda that engages undergraduates. Responsibilities- Teach the equivalent of 18 credits per academic year in the Human Physiology program, including biomechanics, musculoskeletal dynamics, human anatomy, and other relevant courses.
- Advise Human Physiology majors and support their academic success.
- Participate in departmental, school, and university-level activities, contributing to our mission as a Catholic, Jesuit institution.
- Establish a research agenda that includes engaging undergraduates in the process, publishing peer-reviewed work, attending conferences, and participating in professional organizations.
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- A Ph.D. in Biomechanics or a related field (ABDs will be considered if the degree is expected by July 15, 2025).
- Demonstrated ability to design and assess quality learning experiences for undergraduate students.
- Evidence of skills in technology applied to classroom and laboratory work in data analysis and biomechanics.
- Demonstrated knowledge about cultural proficiency in academic settings.
- Demonstrated ability to support students from diverse backgrounds in the academic community.
