In the Pacific Northwest, we operate the largest network of Class 8 and Medium Duty truck dealerships representing both Peterbilt and Volvo/Mack.

I. General Job Description
This position will be responsible for the sale of truck parts and accessories by researching customer requirements, controlling parts inventory, processing invoices and payment, and managing return cores and warranty parts. The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. Responsibilities
- Respond to sales calls and customer counter visits thoroughly and professionally.
- Utilize computer business systems and electronic catalogues to research parts information.
- Provide customer pricing and availability (in-stock or emergency order).
- Process parts invoices and obtain payment.
- Process returned items by inspecting items, returning payment, issuing credit, re-shelving items, and returning items to suppliers.
- Maintain an attractive parts retail display area.
- Enhance job knowledge by continually participating in online training modules and supplier training on new product features, advantages, and benefits.
- Manage customer requests for parts warranty and administer according to supplier procedures.
- Contact customers (telemarketing) regarding parts promotional opportunities.
- Represent the Company in a professional and courteous manner when interacting with customers.
II. Minimum Job Qualifications
- 18 years of age.
- High school graduate, GED, or 1 year of work experience.
III. Desired Job Qualifications
- 3 years of direct customer-facing sales experience.
- Ability to work independently without direct on-site supervision.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Heavy-duty truck aptitude.
- Strong organization, communication, and phone skills.
IV. Mental Capability Requirements
- Comprehension: Ability to understand complex problems, collaborate, and explore alternative solutions.
- Organization: Ability to organize and prioritize work schedule on short-term basis (more than 1 month).
- Reasoning & Decision Making: Ability to make decisions with moderate impact on immediate work unit.
- Communication: Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word, communicating orally with others accurately, loudly, and quickly.
- Mathematics: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, record, balance, and check results for accuracy.
V. Physical Demands and Work Environment
The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme heat, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level is normally loud.
