Job Summary

As an Occupational Therapist at Providence Alaska Medical Center, you will play a vital role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating occupational therapy services within the guidelines established by the American Occupational Therapy Association. You will work under the order of a physician licensed in the State of Alaska, providing daily therapy to patients and contributing to their recovery and well-being.

Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing patients' physical and cognitive abilities to develop personalized treatment plans
  • Implementing and evaluating occupational therapy interventions to improve patients' functional abilities and independence
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Providing education and support to patients and their families to promote healthy habits and prevent future health issues


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy or Ph.D. in Occupational Therapy
  • An Alaska Occupational Therapist License
  • A National Provider BLS - American Heart certification


Preferred Qualifications

While not required, having 2 years of experience in a subspecialty would be beneficial in this role. If you have experience working with patients with similar conditions or have a background in occupational therapy, you will be well-suited for this position.
