Job Title: Chief Financial Officer for Construction Projects

  Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year.

Job Description

As a Senior Accountant or Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining all accounting functions while implementing strong financial controls to safeguard the company's interests and support its continued growth.

  • Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Prepare and analyze accurate financial statements and reports for management.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal financial regulations, including tax filings and reporting.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to protect the company's financial assets.
  • Collaborate extensively with project managers, vendors, the executive leadership team, and the company's CPA.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies with clients and vendors.
  • Assist in audit preparation and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA certification is a plus, but not required.
  • At least 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, MS Project, Outlook, Schedule, etc).
  • Minimum 3 Years experience in Quickbooks, knowledge of Sage a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with construction accounting and project management software a plus but not required.
