Medical Care Specialist

Third Street Family Health Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Care Specialist, either as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), to join our dynamic team at one of our eleven locations across Richland, Marion, Ashland, and Crawford counties. As a vital member of our healthcare community, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care, collaborating with other medical professionals, and contributing to the overall success of our mission.

Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package, including an estimated annual salary of $45,000 for LPNs and $52,000 for RNs, plus excellent benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, employer-paid life insurance, and a 403(b) retirement plan with match. Additionally, we provide opportunities for professional growth and development through tuition assistance and a Wellness Reimbursement Program.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities as a Medical Care Specialist will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients' health conditions, including taking vital signs, reviewing medical history, and identifying potential health issues.
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans based on patients' needs, treatment goals, and medical conditions.
- Administering medications, treatments, and vaccinations as prescribed by physicians, and monitoring patients' progress throughout their healthcare journey.
- Collaborating with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals to create a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting all care provided, assessments, treatments, and communications.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- A strong foundation in medical sciences, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and various medical conditions.
- Proficiency in performing a variety of clinical procedures, such as administering medications, dressing wounds, taking vital signs, conducting physical assessments, and assisting with minor medical procedures.
- Ability to assess patients comprehensively, gather relevant health history, conduct physical examinations, and identify potential health issues or risk factors.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- Ohio LPN or RN License.
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
