This exciting opportunity is available in our 3 Acute Care Medical Oncology unit, where you will have the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients undergoing treatment for various forms of cancer.

About the Role

As a Graduate Nurse in this role, you will be part of a dynamic team that provides comprehensive care to patients with hematological and oncological malignancies. Your primary responsibility will be to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a designated group of patients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met. You will also participate in training programs to enhance your skills in chemotherapy administration and the care of patients with complex medical conditions.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions to promote optimal patient outcomes, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective patient care.
  • Graduate Nurse with a Temporary Practice Permit or currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Candidates must have graduated within one year of the cohort start date.
