About the Role

We are seeking a Veterinarian Leader to join our team at one of our state-of-the-art veterinary hospitals. As a key member of our hospital team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, performing routine and complex surgical procedures, and developing treatment plans for patients undergoing day hospitalization.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to provide exceptional patient care and improve the lives of pets and their owners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent patient care by performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating diseases, and providing preventive care according to patient signalment, lifestyle, and environment.
  • Perform routine and complex surgical procedures, including spays/neuters, abdominal exploratory, and mass removals.
  • Develop treatment plans for patients undergoing day hospitalization based on complete problem-based assessment.
  • Participate in rounds as incoming or exiting doctor at beginning and end of shifts.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
  • Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state in which the hospital is located or ability to obtain by start date.
  • Current DEA license.
  • Must be comfortable performing anesthesia and routine surgeries.
Work Environment

The majority of job duties are conducted in the Vetco Total Care veterinary full-service hospital. Position requires bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing for long periods of time.

A large amount of this partner's time will be spent in direct contact with clients and their pets.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
