Job Summary:

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a reliable and customer-focused individual to transport students, faculty, staff, and visitors around the college campus in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safe Operation of Shuttle Bus: Drive designated routes on campus while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to passengers by assisting with boarding and disembarking, answering questions about routes and schedules, and addressing any concerns or issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Safety and Inspections: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the shuttle bus to ensure it is in proper working condition.
  • Schedule Adherence: Follow designated schedules and routes to ensure timely arrival and departure at designated stops.
  • Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of daily operations, including passenger counts, mileage, and fuel consumption.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
