About the Job
We are seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a 13-week assignment in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. This role involves providing direct nursing care for an identified group of patients according to specific standards.
Salary
The pay package is based on 13-hour shifts and 40 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Based on industry standards, we estimate the salary to be around $85-110 per hour, depending on experience.
Job Description
As a travel nurse RN Med Surg, you will:
- Demonstrate ability to correctly perform head-to-toe physical assessments
- Complete admission data bases per policy
- Perform and document routine assessments per policy
- Initiate, review, and update plan of care
- Collaborate with other health team members in the care of the patient and/or family
- Participate in discharge/transfer planning
- Document accurately, timely, and completely – avoids unacceptable abbreviations and uses proper format when taking verbal orders and when signing off
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- One year experience in Medical Surgical nursing (preferred)
- Excellent customer service, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current unrestricted Wisconsin RN license
