  • Prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking vital signs, and reporting patient history summaries.
  • Secure patient information and maintain patient confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records.
  • Accept and return patient phone calls, and call in prescriptions to patients' pharmacies.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures.
  • Keep supplies ready by inventorying and stocking exam rooms.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.

Requirements
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is required.
  • At least one year of experience in primary care/internal medicine is a must.
  • EMR knowledge and eClinicalWorks EMR knowledge are a plus.
  • Primary care medication knowledge and excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
  • Dependability, hard work, and a team player attitude are required.
