About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Contract Administration Manager to join our team at SEPTA. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing existing contracts, scheduling work, dispatching or releasing service/material delivery, monitoring performance, resolving disputes and problems, reviewing and approving invoices, maintaining contract administration files and records.

  • Manage existing contracts, schedules work, dispatches or releases service/material delivery, monitors performance, resolves disputes and problems, reviews and approves invoices, maintains contract administration files and records.
  • Monitors status of contract financial expenditures in conjunction with contract term, alerts chain of command to any premature exhaustion of funds, assures timely contract renewal.
  • Evaluates contracting needs of Division, develops blanket/requirements contracts as required.
  • Provides interface between EM&C and Purchasing, enters requisitions, utilizes ASAP System to track procurement activity status, expedites procurement process as necessary.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology Management, or a related field and four years of satisfactory employment experience in administrative/financial areas of procurement, project/contract management, contract administration, and civil construction. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology Management, or a related field.
  • Four years of satisfactory employment experience in administrative/financial areas of procurement, project/contract management, contract administration, and civil construction.
  • Strong personal computer skills, proficient in MS software applications including Excel, Access, and Word.
  • Ability to prepare reports and maintain written and computer-based records.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
