About the Role

We are seeking a skilled PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to join our dynamic healthcare team in Birmingham, Alabama. This is a flexible position offering the opportunity to work in various settings, providing speech and language therapy services to patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment: Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients with diverse needs.
  • Individualized Plans: Develop tailored therapy plans based on patient goals and requirements.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and provide education to patients and families about speech and language conditions.
  • Documentation and Progress Monitoring: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatments, and evaluations.
  • Team Collaboration and Continuous Learning: Participate in team meetings, contribute to patient care plans, and stay current on best practices and industry trends.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Alabama.
  • A Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
  • CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
