Executive Chef Manager Senior Living Healthcare

At Thomas Cuisine, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef Manager to lead our culinary team in senior living healthcare facilities. This is an exceptional opportunity for a professional chef to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and residents.
About the Role:
The Executive Chef Manager will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, including menu planning, food preparation, presentation, and service. You will work closely with our nutrition team to develop menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our patients and residents, while also focusing on flavor, creativity, and culinary excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Menu Planning and Development: Create and implement menus that cater to the diverse needs of our patients and residents.
- Kitchen Management: Lead by example and oversee kitchen staff, ensuring seamless execution of meal services.
- Staff Supervision: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing kitchen team that meets our quality standards.
- Inventory and Budget Management: Manage inventory levels, monitor food costs, and optimize ordering processes to maintain profitability.
- Quality Control: Ensure all dishes meet our high-quality standards and are visually appealing.
- Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
About You:
We seek a seasoned chef with a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences. To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar leadership position
- PREFERRED: College graduate (Associates or Bachelor's degree) in Culinary Arts, CEC (Certified Executive Chef), or CDM (Certified Dietary Manager)
- PREFERRED: Experience working in hospital or senior living settings, familiar with IDDSI/Therapeutic Diets/Modified Diets
- ServSafe manager certification and WA Food handler card

Physical and Sensory Requirements:
This role requires:
- Mobility to stand and walk extensively during meal preparation and service
- Lifting, carrying trays, and boxes up to 25 pounds
- Pushing/Pulling Food Hot Boxes up to 50 pounds
- Bending and stooping for access to carts, food, trays, and other kitchen equipment
- Manual dexterity for using kitchen utensils and tools
- Visual acuity for reading menus, labels, and directions
- Hearing ability to respond to verbal communications
- Exposure to hot and cold temperatures
- Taste and smell to assess food quality, freshness, and adherence to dietary requirements
- Ability to distinguish colors for food presentation
