Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Food Service Lead to join our team at Food Lion. As a Food Service Lead, you will be responsible for providing fast, easy, flexible and friendly service to our customers through the achievement of Food Lion customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service by greeting each customer, using their name whenever possible, and unloading their groceries from the cart to the belt.
Scan customers' orders and handle payment transactions per standard practice.
Maintain a clean and organized work station and front-end area, including restocking cigarette drawers and ensuring check stands are supplied with proper bags and register receipt paper.
Identify customers needing assistance and offer to take their order to their car, including Food Lion To-Go orders.
Perform tasks such as cashiering, managing the front end, and running Food Lion To-Go orders as needed.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center.
Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
