Job Summary

Freightliner Northwest is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other heavy equipment components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct diagnostic tests and analyze results to identify issues with diesel engines and other heavy equipment components.
  • Repair or replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of engines, transmissions, differential, A/C and suspensions.
  • Determine unit condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying deficiencies.
  • Able to read schematics for electrical and air systems.
  • Develop technical skills through training opportunities.
  • Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications; make necessary adjustments if required.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the shop.

Requirements

Heavy equipment dealership experience is preferred, but not required. We are looking for a team player with a strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety. If you have a passion for diesel engines and a desire to work with a reputable company, we encourage you to apply.
