Marine Equipment Specialist

The Hiller Companies is seeking a highly skilled Marine Technician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of marine vessels worldwide, performing installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire protection equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Attend numerous class marine vessels to perform installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire protection equipment.
- Perform hydrostatic testing of pressurized cylinders and inspect portable/semi-portable fire extinguishers/cylinders.
- Understand and implement the use of proper Personal Protective Equipment.
- Assist Lead Mechanical Technicians with installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire protection systems.
- Perform inspections and testing of Water Mist systems, Fire Suppression systems, Galley Hood Water Washdown systems, and Fire Detection Systems.
- MUST have a minimum high school diploma/GED.
- Minimum of 1-5 years of Marine technician experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of basic mechanical skills.
- MUST have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must be able to work full-time hours, with the possibility of unusual schedule hours as needed, and overtime hours as needed.
- Travel may be needed, including international travel.
- Must be able to gain clearance to enter government work sites.
