About the Role

As a Medical Care Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting patients with activities of daily living, providing basic patient care, and maintaining a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or RN in charge of the unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide basic patient care, including taking vital signs, monitoring intake and output, and administering medications.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment by ensuring that all equipment is properly sanitized and stored.
  • Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities to ensure that our services are always meeting the highest standards.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of six months to one year of related work experience preferred.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant licensure through the Oregon State Board of Nursing required.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
