Job Overview

CVS Health is seeking a motivated and empathetic Wellness/Health Coach to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in empowering members to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, with remote work options available in North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop personalized plans of care for members
  • Utilize motivational interviewing skills to promote behavior change and support members in achieving their health goals
  • Collaborate with members to identify and address barriers to health and wellness
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to engage and retain members in the program
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of experience in health and wellness coaching or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related field (e.g., Health Education, Wellness, Health Promotion)
  • Certification in health and wellness coaching
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a virtual environment
Preferred Qualifications

We are particularly interested in candidates with:

  • Master's degree in Public Health, Exercise Physiology, Nutrition, or other health areas
  • Experience with medical documentation in EMRs, especially Epic
  • Certification from National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC)
