Adult Military and Family Life Counseling Opportunity

Leidos is hiring licensed behavioral health professionals to join our Adult Military and Family Life Counseling team, supporting Dyess Air Force Base.

About the Role:

This position offers a unique opportunity to serve military service members and their families by providing non-medical support, including counseling, consultation, and outreach services.

The goal of this role is to address and provide solution-focused approaches to issues before they become greater challenges.

Military life can be stressful, and service members, spouses, and family members face emotional and environmental challenges. This position enables you to reach them where and when they need it most.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Face-to-face counseling for military service members and their families (individuals, couples, and families)
  • Observing, participating, and engaging in activities with service members, military spouses, and families; providing coaching, guidance, and support to installation staff; and modeling behavior management techniques
  • Presenting information to service members, military families, and leadership at events
  • Promoting creativity and positivity through approved materials
  • Building rapport with parents and families by attending installation and community events

Requirements:

To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • A Master's degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions
  • A valid independent license in the mental health field from any US state or territory
  • US citizenship
  • Pass a basic background check, Child National Agency Check, and Inquiries clearance
Salary:

The estimated salary range for this position is $55,250.00 - $99,875.00.
