Probation Officer

Chisago County is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Probation Officer to join our team. As a Probation Officer, you will be responsible for providing supervision and support to offenders in the community, ensuring they comply with court-ordered conditions and participate in rehabilitation programs.

• Conduct regular home visits and field contacts with offenders to monitor their progress and provide guidance and support.
• Develop and implement individualized case plans to address the needs and risks of each offender.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, social services, and other community agencies to ensure offenders receive the necessary support and resources.
• Prepare and present court reports and recommendations to ensure offenders are held accountable for their actions.
• Provide education and training to offenders on topics such as substance abuse, anger management, and employment skills.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as criminal justice, social work, or psychology.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a probation or corrections setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with offenders, court staff, and community agencies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality services to offenders.
