About the Role

Snyder Industries, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled CMM Operator to join our team. As a key member of our quality control team, you will be responsible for operating a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to measure and inspect precision parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CMM using PC-DMIS software to measure and inspect precision parts
  • Use manual gauges and micrometers to verify measurements
  • Read and interpret blueprints, including GD&T and Excel-based documentation
  • Understand manufacturing processes, including turning, milling, gear cutting, and heat treating
  • Communicate effectively with machinists and quality team members to ensure accurate measurements and high-quality parts
Requirements
  • 3+ years of quality-related experience in a CNC machining job shop environment
  • PC-DMIS software experience, with preference for programming experience
  • Understanding of CNC turning, milling, heat treat, and gear cutting processes

Work Environment

This position operates in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a heavy presence on the manufacturing floor. The employee will be responsible for standing, walking, and using manual gauges and micrometers to verify measurements. The employee must also be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
