Job Title: Human Resources Specialist

The Human Resources Specialist will play a key role in supporting the local employment processes and employee relations at ACO, Inc. This position is responsible for coordinating human resources activities across multiple manufacturing facilities, including payroll, garnishments, benefits, workers compensation, and leave administration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administers comprehensive companywide payroll and wage garnishments using ADP WFN software.
  • Manages companywide benefits, workers compensation, and leave management programs.
  • Handles unemployment claims and assists with return to work and accommodation processes.
  • Maintains confidentiality when handling sensitive information, including identity, medical, and wage data.
  • Supports hiring processes, including background checks, salary negotiations, and issuing job confirmation letters.
  • Coodinates employee engagement and relations activities, such as new employee orientation, company events, and recognition programs.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding organizational processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Identifies potential employee-relations issues and reports concerns to HR management.

  • Must be able to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills are necessary.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills are required.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow effectively.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Occasionally required to stand or walk.
  • Continually required to sit and work on a computer.
  • Frequently required to talk or hear.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.

Estimated Salary Range:$60,000 - $80,000 per year.
