Job Description:
As a Registered Nurse in our ICU, you will work in a Level IV Trauma Center with short-term acute care. You must be willing to float between units and potentially to affiliate hospitals nearby as required. You are required to work every other weekend. You are not required to follow block schedules. The expected patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:2. Locals are accepted at a reduced bill.
COVID-19 vaccine is required, though medical and religious exemptions or declinations are allowed. You are expected to commit to work 3 out of 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. You are responsible for pre-assignment, non-billable training modules averaging 16 hours, requiring completion pre-start and annually. Orientation includes 40 non-billable hours. Travelers must be flexible with unit assignments and floating between hospitals; refusal to comply may result in termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. The client is expected to supply communication devices as needed for assignment duties, or compensate for work-related cell phone use.
