Patient Financial Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated Patient Financial Coordinator to join our team at Central Maine Medical Center. This role is responsible for ensuring patients scheduled for services complete the financial clearance process prior to service.
Key Responsibilities:- Estimating cost of services and defining expected out-of-pocket expenses
- Contacting or meeting with patients to review estimates, collect payments, and provide payment options
- Collaborating with the financial clearance team and physician practices to ensure timely completion of financial clearance processes
- High School graduate
- Minimum three years relevant experience in financial assistance and insurance plans
- Certified Health Care Navigator application required within two years of hire
- Strong computer skills, including navigating various websites and applications
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Knowledge of insurance billing and basic collections laws
