Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chief Administrative Officer to join our team. The CAO will report directly to the CEO and will oversee the organization's day-to-day administrative effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with the CEO as a trusted advisor to ensure alignment to the organization's vision, mission, and strategic plan.
- Lead the development and implementation of administrative policies and procedures to ensure operational excellence.
- Foster a collaborative leadership environment to promote innovation and efficiency.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the organization's departments and management.
- Develop and implement succession planning strategies for the leadership team.
- Attend regular meetings with the CEO and board of directors to provide strategic guidance and support.
- Collaborate with senior management and department heads to achieve positive outcomes and navigate any roadblocks.
- Facilitate strategic planning and process improvement initiatives.
- Review and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Foster a healthy and inclusive work environment that promotes employee engagement and retention.
Requirements
- A deep understanding of the student population and the ability to develop and implement strategies to support their needs.
- Minimum 10 years of extensive administrative and senior leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of fiscal planning, reporting, and budgeting.
- Proven experience as a leader in finance, marketing, human resources, and/or IT.
- Proven experience working with a board of directors.
- Proven multi-year experience with a portfolio of leadership accomplishments.
- Strong understanding of advancements in nonprofit, education, and organizational development.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills and ability to keep up with ever-changing nonprofit dynamics.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field; MBA a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to inform business decisions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
