Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Tech - Medical Assistant to join our team at MD Now, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our urgent care clinics.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert x-ray and imaging services, taking vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKGs, and administering IM injections.
  • Collect patient history and document Electronic Health Records (EHRs) accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist with check-in/check-out processes, including auditing charts and maintaining accurate records.
  • Maintain logs on activities, including in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent to external labs.
  • Keep patients and visitors informed about clinic progress.
Requirements
  • 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is preferred.
  • Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program is necessary.
  • Radiological Technologist (RT) or Basic X-ray Machine Operator (BMXO / BMO) license is required in the state of residency.
  • Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is desired.
  • Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of starting employment.
  • Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment.
