About the Role

Sodexo is seeking a highly skilled Food Operations Manager 2 to lead a team of 30 frontline staff at Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Lenoir, NC. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring food production quality assurance and patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Production Management: Manage daily food production, including production planning and controls, to ensure high-quality meals are served to patients and staff.
  • Culinary Standards: Ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards are met, including recipe compliance and food quality, to maintain the highest standards of culinary excellence.
  • Food Costing and Controls: Manage food costing, controls, and compliance to optimize food budgets and minimize waste.
  • Customer Service and Quality: Foster a culture of high expectations for customer service and quality of food, ensuring that every patient and staff member receives exceptional dining experiences.
  • Employee Development: Develop and train front-line employees to enhance their skills and knowledge, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Culinary Innovation: Stay current with new culinary trends and incorporate innovative ideas into menu planning and food preparation.
  • Special Diets and Allergens: Demonstrate knowledge of special diets and allergens, ensuring that all patients receive safe and suitable meals.
Requirements
  • Culinary Background: Possess a strong culinary background, with a demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends.
  • Leadership and Communication: Exhibit excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to maintain the highest standards and implement company policies.
  • High-Volume Experience: Have previous experience working in a high-volume facility, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Management Skills: Demonstrate strong management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of frontline staff.
