Personnel Staffing, Inc. is seeking a skilled Industrial Machinery Specialist to join our team.
About the JobWe are offering a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job DescriptionThe Industrial Machinery Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing plants, power plants, and other industrial facilities. This includes:
Installation* Assembling and installing new machinery and equipment, following blueprints and engineering specifications.
* Aligning and leveling machinery components to ensure proper operation.
* Connecting machinery to power sources, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic controls.
* Performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
* Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues, identifying the root cause of breakdowns.
* Repairing and replacing worn or damaged components, using welding, machining, and other techniques.
* Lubricating and maintaining moving parts to prevent wear and ensure smooth operation.
* Disassembling and reassembling complex machinery for major repairs or upgrades.
* Cleaning and inspecting components for wear and damage.
* Replacing worn or damaged parts with new or refurbished components.
* Reassembling machinery, aligning and adjusting components to ensure proper operation.
* Interpreting blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to understand installation and repair procedures.
* Using measuring tools and precision instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
* Adhering to safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
* Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while working with machinery.
* Following lockout/tagout procedures to ensure equipment is safely isolated during maintenance.
To be successful in this role, you will need strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. You should also be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Experience with various hand and power tools, including welding equipment and machining tools, is essential. Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems is also required. Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects are necessary. Finally, attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently are critical.
