Practice Manager Job Description

MedStar Health is seeking a highly skilled Practice Manager to join our team at MedStar Medical Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating all patient care activities for our medical office location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain organizational policies and procedures related to personnel, federal and state regulations, daily operations, and support of medical care.
  • Provide oversight for the daily operations of the medical office and ensure patient access to care.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a professional environment in the medical office.
  • Adjust operations to maintain peak performance.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate levels of equipment and supplies.
  • Coordinate and lead meetings regularly to keep the team informed of MHS and MMG goals, practice goals, and policy changes.
  • Monitor scheduling practices and staffing levels to ensure patient needs and financial goals are met.
  • Ensure patient satisfaction with the medical group's performance on all levels.
  • Routinely review CGCAHPS data and develop action plans to address areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of healthcare/medical office experience.
  • Preferably in an ambulatory care setting.
  • May require 2 years of Oncology practice management and infusion experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
  • Courses in medical terminology preferred.

Compensation: This position has a hiring range of $70,428 - $124,467.
