Job SummaryThe Assistant Store Manager plays a critical role in supporting the Store Manager and is responsible for managing the entire store in their absence. This position requires effective category management, meeting financial and operational performance standards set by the Store Manager and Company. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professional leadership behaviors when managing staff and interacting with customers, focusing on developing staff and self-learning.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and supervise the Grocery Department, Front End, and Load Crew to achieve optimum performance and gain.
- Achieve operational goals for the Grocery department within budgeted financial targets.
- Ensure all administrative duties are completed and operational issues are addressed as needed.
- Foster staff development and training to deliver superior customer service.
- Comply with policies and government requirements for the entire store.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in management roles within food-related or retail settings.
- Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to pass a background and credit check.
- 4-year college degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience at Mollie Stone's Markets with a 'person-in-charge' role.
This is a union position with competitive pay, ranging from $62,000 to $72,000 per year.
